Interim treasurer one of two vying for embattled treasurer’s vacant seat

One of her biggest priorities if elected would be updating technology in the treasurer’s office and giving Ada County citizens more convenient ways to pay and receive tax bills.

“I think the taxpayers would be receptive to that based on the feedback I’ve received,” she said. “Updating the technology in the office would actually work as a way to not only streamline efficiency, but also address growth, one of county government’s largest challenges,” Mahn said.

Every day, the Ada County Treasurer collects property taxes on behalf of the taxing districts that levy within Ada County. The Ada County Treasurer also deposits and balances funds daily and maintains an investment portfolio. These are your public funds!

The role of Ada County Treasurer requires a leader with professional training and experience.  I have the exact expertise to serve you in that position. Over the last 20 years, I have gained experience in both the private and public sectors as an auditor, a business consultant, a lawyer and Chief Deputy Treasurer. With degrees in business (accounting major) and law, I have the academic credentials to represent you. As a Boise native educated in our public schools, I am deeply committed to serving our community.

I have first hand experience in collecting your property tax dollars and managing public funds. My vision for the Ada County Treasurer’s Office is to further serve our community with innovative solutions that promote fiscal responsibility, accountability and transparency.

It would be my honor to earn your vote on November 6, 2018 and to serve all of the citizens of Ada County to my fullest.
